Dr Neil Jackson is a Consultant Gastroenterologist who has been a consultant at Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals since 2003.

His NHS gastroenterology practice is based at the Princess Royal Hospital, Haywards Heath and at the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton. His Private Practice is based at the Nuffield Hospital Haywards Heath and at the Nuffield Hospital Brighton. He has established the Sussex IBS Clinic (www.sussexIBSclinic.co.uk) at the new Montefiore Spire Hospital in Hove. The Sussex IBS Clinic is a private clinic which offers an innovative approach to looking after patients with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).

Dr Jackson is a specialist in adult gastroenterology. His practice covers both general gastroenterology and the management of nutritional disorders. He regularly performs diagnostic and therapeutic upper gastro-intestinal endoscopy (OGD) and colonoscopy as part of his routine work.

His practice includes the investigation and treatment of abdominal pain, indigestion, diarrhoea, irritable bowel syndrome, food intolerance and liver problems. He looks after a large number of patients who have Crohn's Disease or Ulcerative Colitis.

He has previously been Lead Consultant for the Nutritional Support Team at the Royal Sussex County Hospital.

Neil has a particular interest in nutritional disorders and nutritional aspects of gastroenterology including Irritable Bowel Syndrome and Inflammatory Bowel Disease. He practice is based on supporting patients to manage their medical conditions in a holistic way to help patients to retake control of their lives.
